Community

YETI’s impact spans even further as we consistently host events to engage and give back to our community. YETI recognizes how much the community has given us and to foster an environment of paying it forward, we provide a myriad of avenues for members to truly make a difference.

EYERIS

We partner with EYERIS, a global initiative headed by FRC Teams 226 and 503, that is dedicated to providing resources to start FIRST teams in underrepresented countries. Our Business Captain, Radhika, serves as one of 5 executive board members and curriculum lead, providing insights into the operations of the organization. Along with 100 contributors, YETI members work with the EYERIS curriculum team and the FIRST Education Board to create resources, currently being pilot tested by FRC Team 2506, that inspire teams across the globe to start their journeys.

Ukrainian Refugee School Supply Drive

Last August, we hosted a school supply drive for Ukrainian refugees and attended a Ukrainian rally at the Ukrainian Rally in Romare Bearden Park. At the rally we gave the 22 filled backpacks we packed to children from schools in the greater Charlotte area. We supplied them with composition notebooks, pencils, highlighters, erasers, scissors, folders, pens, pencil cases, crayons, color pencils and more! Our Marketing Manager, Radhika, was given the honor of speaking at the rally, which gave us the opportunity to speak about the tragic situation in Ukraine. We hope these supplies help the Ukrainian students feel more prepared for their school year!
